Egg is one of the most essential sources of vitamins and protein. Every individual should have at least one egg everyday unless they have high cholesterol level. There are many different ways you can prepare an egg; boiled egg, scramble egg, omelet or even eating raw egg. In this article, we will show you how to boil an egg in simple few steps.
Add cold water into a saucepan and put the raw egg in it (do not need to fill the saucepan completely, just above 1 inch of the egg is plenty). Turn on the stove to medium heat until the water starts to boil.
Wait until water starts to boil. It normally takes about 5-10 minutes for hard-boiled egg and 2-3 minutes for soft–boiled egg.
Once the water at it’s boiling point, reduce the heat to low. Otherwise, the egg might get cracked inside the saucepan by the hot, boiling, flowing water.
Drain the hot water and add cold water in the saucepan. Let it cool down like this for few minutes until they are ready to peel and serve.
